Kendrick Lamar performs at Louis Vuitton’s SS23 fashion show.
Following the release of his new album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers“, Kendrick Lamar didn’t appear in any interview or on tv to perform the songs as part of the promo run. But now the rapper made an appearance at Louis Vuitton’s SS23 fashion show in Paris, where he paid tribute to late designer Virgil Abloh.
Following a lengthy orchestral introduction, Kendrick casually rapped the Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers hit “Savior.” He followed it up with equally easy renditions of “Rich Spirit” and “Count Me Up,” which he then finished out with an outro in which he paid respect to the late Abloh, who was the fashion house’s artistic director until his death last year.
“Virgil, Long Live,” Kendrick repeatedly said before turning the tribute into a performance. The rapper then performed his song called “N95“, which also received a video treatment with the album.
