Chance The Rapper teams up with Joey Badass for the 2022 BET Awards.
Earlier this month, Chance The Rapper linked up with Joey Badass for a brand new collaboration “The Highs & The Lows”, and now they bring it up to BET Stage. The Chicago rapper made his return to BET Awards, as the 2022 event took place earlier tonight at LOS Angeles Microsoft Theatre, which was hosted by Taraji P. Henson.
“When it’s hard to keep your eyes on the road (Your eyes on the road)/ You start to feel your back on the ropes (Your back ‘gainst the ropes)/ You gotta take the highs with the lows (The highs with the lows),” the duo rapped.
This was Joey Badass’ first-ever BET Awards performance, while the “Coloring Book” rapper previously joined DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne and Quavo for a performance of “I’m The One” in 2017.
From Chance’s upcoming 2022 album Star Line Gallery, his first since 2019’s The Big Day, comes “The Highs & The Lows.” 2000 is the name of Joey Bada$$’s next album. Joey said on Twitter that the delay in the release of his third studio album—originally scheduled for earlier this month—was caused by sample clearances.
