Common spits bars in freestyle on LA Leakers show.
Earlier tonight, Common has dropped his brand new album “A Beautiful Revolution, Pt. 2,” a sequel to his last year’s offering. For the promo run, the 49-year-old Chicago, Illinois rapper made a visit to Power 106’s LA Leakers’ Life Off Show.
Even as the first artist to take the stage since TDE’s Ray Vaughn skated over Snoop Dogg and Beanie Sigel classics two weeks ago, Common proves he’s up to the task, delivering plenty of quotable bars.
On the show, Common spits bars for an 8-minute freestyle over Group Home’s “Livin’ Proof” and Raekwon’s “Incarcerated Scarfaces”. Common has revealed a few album cuts ahead of the release of A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2, including “Majesty (Where We Gonna Take It)” with PJ, “When We Move” with Black Thought, and Seun Kuti, and “Imagine” with PJ.
The first installment of the series, A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 1, was released by Loma Vista Recordings in October 2020. While Pt. 1 was written as a call to action amid the height of the epidemic and social upheaval in the United States, Pt. 2 is intended to assist listeners in learning how to deal in today’s situation.
