Jay Rock Drops Freestyle Over JAY-Z's "The Watcher 2" Beat

Jay Rock Spits bars over JAY-Z’s “The Watcher 2” on Power 106.

Jay Rock continues the promo run for his upcoming album as the rapper made an appearance on Justin Credible show on LA Power 106. On the show, the TDE rapper shows his freestyle skills with bars over classic beat of JAY-Z “The Watcher 2”.

“NI–as saying they street, never bleed the concrete / Acting like the stress never got to Ghandi / What if Martin Luther King had him a tommy? Malcom X said, ‘F–k it,’ hit him a side street / Bent him a couple corners and got him a side piece / Then sat up in a penthouse something like five weeks / And feds still tapping the phone?/ Once again, it’s on,” he raps.

The original track was released through JAY-Z’s 2002 album “The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse.” It was a sequel of Dr. Dre’s song “The Watcher”. The JAY-Z track was produced by Dr. Dre, who also assisted with vocals along with Rakim and Truth Hurts.
