Brandy snaps back at Jack Harlow with a “First Class” freestyle.
Earlier this month, Jack Harlow made a visit to Hot 97 for an Ebro Darden, Laura Stylez, and Peter Rosenberg, as part of the promo run for his latest album “Come Home the Kids Miss You“. On the show, he took part in a session where he had to guess the songs’ artist, and the rapper was unable to guess Brandy after they played “Angel in Disguise”.
The hosts also gave “Whats Poppin” rapper a hint by mentioning Ray J, who is a cousin of Brandy. After the revelation, he said that he didn’t know Ray J and Brandy are siblings. When the clip went viral on social media, Brandy herself responded and wrote, “I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing is a*s to sleep.”

And as promised, she’s back with a freestyle over Harlow’s hit single “First Class”. “Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is world-famous, one of the greatest / Living legend, did I mention my résumé is amazing / Over 20 years and I’m still a topic / A bi**h is worth a million and I’m feeling philanthropic / Popular but now I’m poppin’ sh*t for those out of pocket,” she raps.
After his duet with Lil Nas X on “Industry Baby” in 2021, “First Class” arrived at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, marking Harlow’s second single (and first solo song) to reach the top spot. It was also his first chart-topping single.
“First Class” went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and became the year’s first hip hop single to do so. It has the highest streaming week of 2022 thus far, as well as the highest opening week since Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Future and Young Thug in September 2021. The song was number one for three weeks in a row.
