Eminem drops the “Guts Over Fear” video with Sia.
Eminem has dropped the new Music Video for his track “Guts Over Fear” which featured assistance from Sia. The Music Video is Directed by Syndrome. The chorus is provided by Sia, marking the musicians’ second collaboration, the first being “Beautiful Pain” from the deluxe edition of The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
The video begins with an athlete preparing for a battle backstage, directed by the art collective Syndrome. However, the action shifts back six months to depict his bleak home life, in which he struggles to pay the bills and support for his alcoholic father and expectant wife. As the man’s personal and job problems worsen, he vents his emotions on his opponents while continuing to improve his boxing abilities.
The song “Guts Over Fear” was originally included on the Denzel Washington film The Equalizer’s soundtrack. Shady XV will now feature the tune (out Monday). On August 25, 2014, Eminem confirmed his plans to release an album later that year, and the song was officially published on iTunes. The two-disc, 28-song collection honors Shady Records’ 15th anniversary by including the label’s biggest hits (such as 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”), as well as new songs from Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D-12, and Yelawolf, as well as collaborative tracks with guest artists.
The track is off Eminem’s new Shady Records 2 Disc album SHADY XV which is in the stores and can be purchased on itunes here.
