Young M.A gives an update following recent health concerns.
Last month, Young M.A went viral after a clip of her getting a haircut was shared online, in which she was looking unhealthy with discoloured skin and jaundiced eyes, effects associated with liver failure.
The rapper now hopped on to her Instagram stories to share updates on her health, and also on upcoming music. “I know I been low-key,” Young M.A said in the video. “Long story short, basically, it’s a small setback. Unfortunately, I made a lot of wrong decisions in my life. You know, it’s starting to catch up with [me]. So, I just want y’all to know, besides all that I’m actually doing much better. I’ve been getting well. I’ve been very much sober. I don’t want to go specifically into details. Because I really want to bring y’all on my journey.”
“I’m dropping some new music of course,” she added. “I’ma also have a documentary with my story. I’ma keep y’all in tune, catch y’all back up. Because I know y’all been wondering. Y’all know I’m mysterious. I keep my personal problems to myself. But now it’s time to expand that and express that to y’all. It’s gon’ be one of those M.A summers. I promise you.”

She previously issued a statement on her social media, revealing she was hospitalized over several conditions. “As many of my supporters know I’ve been dealing with various personal health issues the last few years. I recently was hospitalized and was successfully treated for several conditions. I’m doing better now, will take some time but I’m on the road to recovery and look forward to the future!!!”
She adds, “Rest assured I’m in good spirits and everything will be explained in the MUSIC … plus a documentary. Love y’all MAB! Don’t worry I’m good!”
