Wiz Khalifa says a Verzuz against Lil Wayne would be fun.
The discussion of a new potential Verzuz battle continues to hit social media, and now Wiz Khalifa also named an opponent that he would love to go against for a showdown. During an interview on Shade 45 with DJ Superstar Jay, the “See You Again” hitmaker named legendary Lil Wayne as an ideal opponent.
“I think that would be fun, yeah. Because Wayne is a really dope performer,” said Khalifa. “Me and him going back and forth performing bangers? That sh*t’d be hard. And we’d both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more of a concert than a Verzuz.”

While Weezy’s name is often mentioned as one of the toughest contenders for the Verzuz battle, the “Lollipop” rapper recently revealed his choice for a battle, but for the Cash Money label. “I would say the best competition, I would have to go with Roc-A-Fella,” he answered. “JAY-Z the homie.”
He continued and named Hov the greatest rapper ever. “The greatest rapper of all time is Shawn ‘JAY-Z’ Carter,” he said. “When you do this rapping thing, obviously like football, every sport is different. You play hockey, I’m sure they got something that they only know about. Something that they probably can’t explain, but only they know. That thing in rap, that we only know in rap, he has that. He’s the Tom Brady of that.”
Wiz Khalifa is involved in other commercial endeavours, so a Verzuz clash might not be on the radar just soon. A sneak peek of the “We Dem Boyz” rapper’s depiction of George Clinton in the upcoming movie Spinning Gold was published last week, marking his comeback to the big screen after more than ten years.
