Wiz Khalifa gives a strong warning if anybody tries to slap him.
Will Smith has been in the headlines throughout this week for his viral moment at the 94th annual Academy Awards. The “King Richard” actor won the Oscar for the first time, but the moment that trend all over the internet was him slapping the comedian Chris Rock. “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth,” he told Chris Rock for joking about his wife.
Celebrities and fans has been reacting the shocking moment and giving their views in the past few days, and now Wiz Khalifa uses the same reference during his recent show, which was a premiere part for his new documentary Still Rolling Papers.
“Thank y’all for coming out. If anybody tries to walk up here and slap me, you will get shot,” he said, which prompted the whole crowd goes into laughter. “I’m just letting you know right now.”
While there has been substantial opposition in the aftermath of the incident, some people sympathize with Smith. Nicki Minaj remarked in a tweet after querying why no one on the Oscars crew had pre-vetted the jokes” “The husband gets a front row seat to his wife’s pain…. he’s the 1 consoling her.. drying her tears behind closed doors when those cameras go off. Social media has made ppl feel that these “husbands” won’t ever run into them in real life.”
