J. Cole appears on the LA Leakers show for two new freestyles.
J. Cole is all set to drop his new album “The Off-Season” this Friday, and for the promo run, he made a visit to Power 106 for the first time for a freestyles session on LA Leakers. He sat down with the show hosts DJ Sourmilk and Justin Credible, who called him arguably one of the greatest of this generation.

On the show, he spits bars over two hip-hop classics, Soul of Mischief’s “93 Til Infinity” and Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin“. “The Cole absence has been without a doubt felt in the culture but the perfect timing of his forthcoming ‘The Off-Season’ lp and the first-ever Leakers feature has further proved why Cole continues to be regarded as a GOAT and an emcee in control of his own lane. Justin Credible ad DJ Sourmilk took a trip to an exclusive North Carolina studio to tap in with the sought-out rapper and history was written,” wrote Power 106.
The artist explained that the launch ““symbolizes the work that it takes to get to the highest height” in a recent cover story with SLAM Magazine, making them the first artist to ever be its cover.
“The Off-Season represents the many hours and months and years it took to get to top form,” he said, continuing, “Just like in basketball, what you see him do in the court, that shit was worked on in the summertime. So for an athlete, if they take their career seriously and if they really got high goals and want to chase them, the offseason is where the magic really happens, where the ugly sh*t really happens, where the pain happens, the pushing yourself to uncomfortable limit.”
