Hopsin talks about the hate on longevity rappers like Eminem.
Hopsin continues to talk to fans through Instagram live and once again fans asked him something about Eminem. He was asked, “why do you think longevity rappers are getting so much hate.”
Fans of Eminem, particularly fellow rapper Hopsin, were taken aback by the artist’s release of his Kamikaze album. Hopsin complimented Eminem on social media after discovering the actual Slim Shady addressed him in a tune from Kamikaze called “Fall.”
Hopsin responded to that and said, “Why do you think longevity rappers are getting so much hate, you said rappers with an S at the end so what rappers group, everybody gets hate. A lot of guys are saying, Eminem. I personally don’t think Eminem gets a lot of hate I think the only reason you guys feel that way or we all may feel that way is fans or whatever is because he puts the spotlight on the hate so then we know. It’s like, I think he puts the spotlight on it so then you’re like oh sh*t people said that things about him and then we go oh damn that he’s saying things about the people and then I think it just makes it feel like that. I guess people hate on him because he said that people hate on him. I don’t really like I don’t walk in the streets every day and people like yo f**k that God I don’t like either that doesn’t happen and his views and everything it seems like the love is still there the f**king algorithms on my f**king Instagram is showing fans pages of him and sh*t that they love them.”
Hopsin continued and said it’s not possible to not get hate as an artist, “Everybody gets hate, I don’t think it’s possible to be a big artist and not have people who don’t like them, everybody has something about them that somebody doesn’t like.” Watch it below and also check out Hopsin rapping ‘Forgot About Dre’ earlier this month.
