Tyga reveals “The Gold Album” Artwork & Release Date.
“The Gold Album” will be released on 27 January. This the third time the date has been pushed back by Tyga.
California Rapper Tyga Announced a new Release Date for his upcoming album “The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty“. The album, which is a follow-up to his 2013’s “Hotel California” will release on December 23rd. The album was previously scheduled to be released on November 18th.
After Tyga Threatens to leave Young Money last month, It’s still unknown that if the new album will release by Young Money or Independently by The Last Kings Music. In a Recent Interview, Birdman said that Tyga is still signed to the Young Money.
DONDA, who most recently designed Nicki Minaj’s cover art for The Pinkprint, is known for his minimalist covers, designed this too. DONDA’s inspiration for The Gold Album was most likely drawn from the 1978 cover of The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1, which has a similar eagle. DONDA updated this concept for 2014 by reducing Earth Wind & Fire’s graphic to a basic and highly textured symbol, similar to the simple and sticky handprint it created for Nicki Minaj.
Tyga’s Cash Money/Young Money Records difficulties caused the Gold Album to be delayed several times. Tyga stated intentions to release his new album independently in 2015 after tweeting in October that his company was keeping him prisoner.
