Ty Dolla Sign would love to work with Eminem.
Ty Dolla Sign recently sat down with Hot Freestyle’s “Chop Up” for an interview with Tallie Spencer where he talks about the process of getting features for his album, the importance of family, his teenage daughter, Snoop Dogg comparing him to Nate Dogg, and more. Ty Dolla Sign, who has worked with just about everyone, showed interest in working with Eminem during an appearance on Hot Freestyle’s “Chop Up” series. He praised Marshall Mathers and Marshall’s alter ego’s alter ego in the process.
At around the 17:58 minute mark, Tallie Spencer asks, “Which of these artists have you not done a song with, as a feature: Babyface, Fatty Wap, Eminem, or French Montana?”
“I have not done a song with Eminem yet. Which I would love to. He’s the GOAT for sure,” says Ty Dolla Sign.
Tallie Spencer: “You think you ever see that happening in the future?”
Ty Dolla Sign: “Yeah, I always said like the only rapper that I think is better than Eminem is Slim Shady. So for sure, it will happen. What’s up fam? Holla at me.”
A collaboration between the two doesn’t seem too far-fetched, especially given Ty’s frequent parallels to the late Nate Dogg, with whom Em collaborated on many occasions in the 2000s. Another regular Em collaborator, Snoop Dogg, recently referred to Ty as the reincarnation of the late crooner, a comment he welcomed.
Snoop’s comparison made Ty Dolla feel “honoured.” In October, he told Power 106 FM, “I feel blessed, I feel honoured. I feel like Nate Dogg was carrying a huge torch and he passed it down. I just talked to my other homie that told me that he talked to Snoop on his birthday, and Snoop said that. Snoop said I’m the reincarnation of Nate Dogg. When I heard that, I was like alright, Snoop saying it? That means everything, man. Like I said, it’s an honour.”
