2Pac receives Hollywood Walk Of Fame star.
After over two decades of his death, the legendary Tupac is finally honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. After an announcement last month, the late rapper posthumously received the Walk of Fame’s 2,758th star, which was accepted by his sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur.
“2Pac knew deep down that he was always meant for something great. As his little sister, I had the privilege to watch that greatness unfold,” 2Pac’s sister said. “From the first time he stepped foot on stage at the Apollo Theater at 13 years old before anyone recognized his name, he knew he had the dream to have a star here on the Walk of Fame.”
“Not only paying tribute to his contribution in the music industry but speaks volumes to he lasting impact he’s had on this world.
She continued: “Today, we’re not just honoring a star on the ground but honoring the world and the passion he put into making his dreams come true. His heavenly star will shine a little brighter today.”
Set made a memorable entrance dressed in Versace. Iconic. Royalty. Queen. Delivered such a beautiful and heartful speech. We all know Afeni and 2Pac is both proud and smiling right now. Sending all my love and respect to the entire Tupac’s family. Congratulations Makaveli.… pic.twitter.com/RGb0h6aNLB

At the ceremony, the legendary Trach also paid homage to Pac with his favourite lyrics of the late rapper. “June 1-6, ‘7-1, the day/ Mama pushed me out her womb, told me, ‘Ni**a get paid’,” he rapped, which is from the 1996 song “Krazy,” taken from 2Pac’s final album recorded before his death “The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory”.
