Tumi Molekane lists his Top 10 Rappers.
Tumi Molekane, the South African rapper, and poet decided to share the list of his Top 10 Hip-Hop artists. The list features the likes of Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Nas, and more. He also says that studying them is enough to make you an elite MC. “My top ten. 10. Ice Cube 9. Kool G Rap 8. Lauryn Hill 7. Eminem 6. Lupe Fiasco 5. Aesop Rock 4. B.I.G 3. Jay-Z 2. Andre 3000 1. Nas. There are like 10 more elite rappers in the world but these taught me the most and I think studying them is enough to make you elite as an mc.” wrote Molekane.

He also says that Eminem, GRap, and Aesop doesn’t have a classic by his standards. Tumi Molekane was the lead singer for Tumi and the Volume, a band that dissolved in 2012. Tumi rebranded himself as Stogie T in 2016 and released the Stogie T album, which included Da L.E.S, Lastee, Emtee, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai, and Yanga.
Only one here started rapping after me… Lupe. 11 classic albums between them, Incase you are wondering I don’t think Em, GRap, and Aesop have a classic by my standards. Also Kanye, Kdot, De La, Redman, Benny, Roots, Mos, Common, Knaan, Snoop, Dre, Wu Tang, Rae have classics

The one name missing from his list is the legendary Tupac, who’s probably in everyone’s Top 10 List. “I love Pac dearly, but at his best, he was never better than that ten at their best,” says Tumi.
