Travis Scott Closes In On Eminem After Beating Kanye West On Spotify

Travis Scott earns another new streaming milestone.

Travis Scott is currently one of the biggest rap artists in the world, and he continues earning new chart and streaming records every month. According to Spotify numbers, the rapper has now surpassed Kanye West to become the platform’s third-most streamed rapper.

Overall, Travis Scott is now the ninth most-streamed artist on Spotify. La Flame has now touched 49 billion streams on Spotify and is closing in on Eminem who’s the second most streamed rapper with 51 billion streams.

Scott recently re-released his second mixtape “Days Before Rodeo” on streaming platforms to celebrate its 10th anniversary. In a controversial result, he lost the number 1 status on Billboard 200 to Sabrina Carpenter by just around 1,000 units. Travis Scott narrowly missed out on the top spot as his project moved 361,000 equivalent album units in the week, while Sabrina’s album earned 362,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Aug. 29.

Also, He recently became the first male rap artist with an album with all songs achieving RIAA platinum or higher status. He earned the milestone with his third studio album “Astroworld.”
