Tory Lanez found guilty in all three counts in Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting case.
After the eight-day trial, Tory Lanez has been found guilty of all three felonies in the case of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. The three charges include felony assault with a semiautomatic, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. The Canadian star who pleaded not guilty in all three counts could face 22 years in prison.
“This wicked system stands judged before God almighty!” Lanez’s father yelled at the two prosecutors in the case. “You two are evil, wicked people. You know exactly what you did.” He was then removed from the courtroom, and he continued to shout in the hallway.
“Megan did find the courage to come and tell you what the defendant did to her,” deputy district attorney Alexander Bott tells the jury. “Was Megan telling the truth? I think everyone in the courtroom knows the answer to that question.” “Hold him accountable for shooting the victim for nothing more than a bruised ego,” responds Mr. Lanez’s lawyer.
Tory Lanez’s lawyer George Mgdesyan stated that the “was about jealousy and a se*ual relationship,” called the case “full of holes and speculation,” and said Stallion “lied about everything in this case.”
Prior to the jury’s decision on Thursday, Megan Thee Stallion’s boyfriend, Pardison Fontaine, ended his silence over the case and sent a message to his Instagram Story in support of women who have “suffered an injustice.” “I feel for you … when you do find the courage to speak up .. it seems you will be ridiculed, your credibility will (be) questioned … your entire past will be held under a magnifying glass .. in an instant you can go from victim to defendant in the eyes of the public,” he wrote. “I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.”
