Too Short shouts out Eminem for rocking his album shirt at Super Bowl.
Over the years, Eminem had been paying homage to other rap legends by wearing the classic album Cover at concerts as well as other places. Now once again, the Detroit Rapper wore a classic album artwork tee during the recent Super Bowl halftime show rehearsals.
Eminem shared the official pictures from his time at the Super Bowl, and in one of them, he was wearing a tee with Too Short’s sixth studio album “Short Dog’s in the House” cover. Now the LA rapper reposted the Jeremy Deputat captured image, and wrote, “I love Detroit @eminem” on his social media.
Marshall was also paying respect to Snoop, with who he was sharing a stage, by making his way backstage on the day of the concert while wearing a “Doggy style” sweatshirt.
Just after the historical super bowl show, Shady also made a visit to Tupac’s newly opened “Wake Me When I’m Free” Museum in LA while wearing the late rapper’s debut album “2Pacalypse Now” Tee.
Britney Spears watched the Super Bowl LVI halftime performance on Sunday, and on Monday, she headed to Instagram to send a special shout-out to Slim Shady. “Wow!!! @Eminem last night at the Super Bowl…he should have had way more time…he was everything to me when I was younger and it was so weird in the first two seconds I saw him onstage last night I felt like I was 17 again!!!” Spears wrote on Instagram alongside a video clip of Eminem’s set. “It’s honestly kinda scary how certain artists and music can do that…we are so lucky to live in a world where music can give us hope…identity…acceptance…and love!!!”
During his Rapture Tour in 2019, the “Lose Yourself” rapper reveals why he wears these shirts. “You know, this was called the Rapture tour. But originally, it was going to be called the ‘Rap Shirt’ tour,” he said. “I’ma tell you why. There’s a reason I do this, every single night on stage man. Hopefully, some of you all might go but their albums. Might go look em’ up. Maybe you don’t know who Masta Ace was, or Kool G Rap. I feel like you need to know because what they did for hip-hop is so f**king incredible because they made it go to that next level. These are the rappers that inspired me, man. On some real sh*t.”
