The Game lists his top 50 LA rappers of all time.
A few days after Complex unveiled a list of the top 50 LA rappers, The Game decided to share his own personal list, where he ranked himself in the top 5. The rapper who was listed at number 11 by the Complex considers himself the 5th best LA rapper of all time. On the list by Complex, Kendrick Lamar was named number 1, followed by Snoop Dogg & Ice Cube.
He named legendary 2Pac number 1, followed by Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Kendrick Lamar on number 4. The list featured the likes of Kurupt, Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Nipsey Hussle, Ice-T, Tyler, the Creator, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Tyga, Roddy Ricch, KXNG Crooked, Vince Staples, Baby Keem, Doja Cat, Westside Boogie, Hopsin, Reason and more.
“A few days ago @complexmusic dropped a list of the Top 50 LA rappers & I don’t know who gave final approval but I get it… “playas f%?k up too” !!!,” he wrote. “I was born & raised in this city & I’ve never moved from it, left it for more then 2 months or abandoned it to call anywhere else home.”
“I’ve lost brothers, family, friends & damn near my own life to the lifestyle that so many people around the world try to imitate. I say that to say, I AM LA… I’ve mastered the art of surviving in this city that has claimed so many & believe when I say.. I’ve been in the trenches since my birth.”

“The few rappers on the list that weren’t specifically born here are on the list because of their dedication & choice to ride with the city once they got here. It’s non debatable !!!,” he added. “Argue all you want to but this is how I feel… if I’m wrong, challenge my pen & let me remind you of what & who I am.”
