The Game Calls Out Rolling Stone For Not Naming The Documentary In 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums

The Game is not happy with Rolling Stone’s 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of all-time list.

Since last year, The Game has been shading others for not getting the deserved praise from the hip-hop community, and the rapper once again shows his anger after the recent list of Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All Time“. The Compton rapper called out the media outlet and asked them why his “The Documentary” album is not on the list.

“@RollingStone How is ‘The Documentary’ not on the list for 200 Greatest Rap Albums Of All Time?” Game wrote on Twitter. “I carried an entire coast for 20 years on the back of my 1st album. Cause I don’t walk red carpets, play dress up, smile or fake laugh at brunches I don’t count? #Drillmatic July 1.”

“1ST THEY STEAL THE CULTURE, THEN THEY DISRESPECT IT. Y’all brains fried af !!! Some things you just gotta laugh at. They’ll try to erase you if you let em,” he said on his IG caption.

The Game is prepping the release of his highly anticipated 30-song album “Drillmatic – Mind vs. Heart”, which is all set to drop next month. He claimed that his new Hit-Boy-produced album will be the best of 2022, and prove why he’s the best rapper alive. “I can honestly say nothing rap related will be able to stand next to this in 2022,” he wrote. “When it drops, I promise you that if you put your ear to it you will then understand why I’m the best rapper alive. My controversy has always stepped on my greatness, but that’s all about to change. This album has a strong hold on being the best album of my career. It’s just different… the last time I pulled over & wrote in my car was “I don’t need your love” on The Documentary. Only thing is, back then it was a U-Haul. Today I pulled over the G-Wagon on Labrea because I couldn’t believe how dope the shit in my head was…. I’m parked & I’m not moving until this last song is written & completed. Follow your dreams…. If I could, you can.”

The Game also went after Ebro Darden, T.I., and Funk Flex in January, when they compiled a list of the best 50 rappers of all time. The title of the game is nowhere to be discovered. “@oldmanebro @funkflex & @troubleman31…… I ain’t forgot about these lists…,” The Game wrote in an Instagram caption. “#DRILLMATIC coming soon…. HURRICANE GAME LIVES y’all shoulda just threw my baby mamas in there too !!!!”

The rapper isn’t the only one who is offended by the list. Griselda’s Westside Gunn also attacked the list on Twitter on Thursday (June 9). His Fly God album from 2016 was at No. 176 on the Billboard 200. However, the incorrect cover art was utilised, as well as the incorrect year for the album’s release date.
“I been on a island lately but I just wanted to take the time out to say F**K @RollingStone 😂😂 sincerely FLYGOD,” he tweeted.
