The Game Reveals Drillmatic Album Tracklist Featuring A Possible Eminem Diss Track

The Game shares the tracklist for new album “Drillmatic – Heart vs Mind”.

The Game is set to drop his long-awaited new album “Drillmatic – Heart vs Mind” this Friday, and today the rapper unveils the official tracklist. As announced previously, the entire album will have 30 tracks, but the guest features are not revealed yet.

The album is executive produced by Hit-Boy, featuring the Kanye West-assisted “Eazy“. “DRILLMATIC the REAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR out everywhere midnight Friday, August 12th !!!! I promise I’m going 30 for 30 no skips !!!! As Hit-Boy would say… “issa 30 clip” !!!!,” he wrote.

The tracklist also features a track called “The Black Slim Shady” which looks to be a possible diss track towards Eminem. The song was previously teased by Wack 100 a few months ago. “We startin’ a fire, the Black Slim Shady is coming,” Wack said. “That n***a better be ready, because this n***a done went crazy.”

The Compton rapper has been taking shots at the Detroit Rapper ever since his appearance on the Drink Champs, where he claimed to be a better rapper than Shady, and would take on him in a Verzuz battle.

The album, his first since 2019’s Born 2 Rap, was repeatedly postponed because of sample clearance concerns, but Game previously announced collaborations with Lil Wayne, G Herbo, and NBA YoungBoy as well as a song with Chris Brown and Chlöe Bailey that samples Janet Jackson’s “Got ’til It’s Gone.”

“What I can guarantee you is that I personally put my heart & soul into this album from beginning to the end & anyone who’s come by my studio or heard this album will tell you that it is everything you expected it to be,” he said.

The album was first scheduled to release on June 17 but was then delayed until July 1. Game disclosed that Jay-Z approved seven samples for the next project earlier this month, and he claimed that sample clearance concerns were a major cause of the delay. “The energy feels like I just signed my deal,” he wrote in since-deleted Instagram post. “You’ve never heard me rap like this, I promise you.”

The Game’s social media sabbatical, which he declared last week in an Instagram post that has since been removed, is broken by the post. He added that since the record had already been postponed several times, he wanted to make sure it arrived on its anticipated official launch of August 12.

“I’ve always prided myself on my transparency in tow with sharing every part of my life & myself with my family, friends & my fans… the past two weeks have been a nightmare for me,” he wrote.

“I have witnessed disloyalty on levels unimaginable by people I’ve trusted with my heart, money, career & livelihood. Not only have I been backstabbed & betrayed.. I’ve been left to pick up the pieces alone.” He added: “I’m in no way shape or form angry with anyone for choosing to act in the manner they have as of recent & send love & well wishes from this day forward as there is no hate, malice or vengefulness in my heart […] It’s been rough.. so I’ve decided to take a step back from my phone, social media & group settings, clubs etc so I can focus on completing my album so that my fans are happy with the delivery.”
