The Game claims he never had a beat from Dr. Dre.
The Game is on the promo run of his latest album “Drillmatic – Mind Vs Heart” as he now sat down with Just Blaze and Katty Customs for an interview on Uproxx’s Fresh Pair series.
During the show, the Compton rapper discussed his history with Dr. Dre, and revealed that he never received a beat from the Aftermath founder. “Dre didn’t do any beats on The Documentary,” he said at the 21:39 mark. “But I didn’t say he didn’t oversee it. You want Dre to oversee anything because he’s a mastermind when it comes to that. But as far as doing a beat for The Documentary? No. And I’ve never had a Dre beat in my career.”
He continued, “And again, with all the influence and all the appreciation that I have for Dr. Dre, the fact is the fact. So you know, a bunch of dope producers that Dre had under him or whoever—Scott Storch, the Just Blazes, the Swizz Beatzs, the Timbalands—helped me put together my classic album. I physically had to get on a plane and come to Baseline [Studios] to work with you [Just Blaze] and get these things done. I did the same thing with Storch, I did the same thing with Swizz, I went to Miami to work with Timbaland, so I can’t give Dre credit for the Just Blaze beat.”

“It’s a Dr. Dre executive produced album, but people just don’t understand the underlinings and how the business works. I’ve never had a song with Dre on it and Dre been in my video. [Snoop Dogg] has a ton, [Eminem] has a ton. I don’t have none.”
Earlier this year, The Game had several studio sessions with Kanye West, and then he said that Ye did more for him in two weeks than Dr. Dre did in his whole career. “It’s crazy that Ye did more for me in last 2 weeks, than Dre did for me in my whole career,” he said.
During a February visit on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs, The Game previously minimised Dr. Dre’s contribution to his success, asserting that Kanye West impacted his career more than Dre ever did in just two weeks.
The Game and 50 Cent’s long-running animosity was rekindled by the interview, and 50 Cent couldn’t help but mock The Game on social media for his comments.
