TDE Punch says people in the music industry secretly hate Kendrick Lamar.
J. Cole snapped back at Kendrick Lamar last night with his new project “Might Delete Later”. The Dreamville boss dissed K. Dot on the song titled “7 Minute Drill“, which is a response to Future and Metro Boomin’s Kendrick collab “Like That”.
Following the song that is currently on social media, TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson reacts to the diss, and comes in defence of Lamar. “SMH. I thought to pimp a butterfly was pretty good,” he tweeted, over Cole trashing TBAP. “The current rap climate got me realizing a lot of you music industry ppl are Kdot haters. lol you telling me you ni–as been secretly hating ALL this time!” “‘music industry ppl’, I’m definitely NOT referring to the rappers involved here. I’m talking about the folks that work in music. You ni–as.”

In the new diss track, Cole rapped: “I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissin’ / You want some attention, it come with extensions.” “Done put in so much work in these streets he got pension / I told him chill out, how I look havin’ henchman / He still doin’ shows, but fell off like the Simpson’s / Yo first sh-t was classic, yo last sh-t was tragic / Yo second sh-t put ni–as to sleep but they gassed it / Yo third sh-t was massive and that was yo prime / I was trailin’ right behind and I just now hit mine / Now I’m front of the line with a comfortable lead / How ironic, now that I got it he want somethin’ with me.”
“Well he caught me at the perfect time, jump up and see / Boy, I got here off of bars, not no controversy / Funny thing about it, bi–h, I don’t even want the prestige / F–k the Grammy’s ’cause them crackers ain’t never done nothin’ for me, ho / Sl-ts took my ni–a’s soul, dr-gs took another one / The rap beef ain’t realer than the sh-t I seen in Cumberland / He averagin’ one hot verse like every thirty months or somethin’ / If he wasn’t dissin’ then we wouldn’t be discussin’, huh?”
“Lord, don’t make me have to smoke this ni–a ’cause I f–k with him / But push come to shove, on this mic, I will humble him / I’m Mino with this thing, this that New Jack City meme / Yeah, I’m aimin’ at G-Money cryin’ tears before I bust at him,” he adds on T-Minus & Conductor Williams beat.
