Nas and Hit-Boy connect for “King’s Disease 3”.
The duo of Nas and Hit-Boy is back with more new music as they now join forces for the new album titled “King’s Disease 3”. This is Nas and Hit-Boy’s fourth collab album, following “King’s Disease” (2020), “King’s Disease II” (2021) and “Magic” (2021).
The project comes with 17 solo tracks, which include “Ghetto Reporter”, “Michael & Quincy”, “Recession Proof”, “Once a Man, Twice a Child”, “Beef”, “Til My Last Breath” and more.
“I feel like every song we make, without even consciously doing it, we’re trying to make it better than the last,” Nas said about his chemistry with Hit-Boy in 2021 with Complex. “It’s just already embedded in us to do that. I feel like as long as we keep taking that approach, it’s going to get crazier and crazier, and that’s what happened. I keep seeing every day like, ‘Damn, how would y’all top KD1 that y’all won a Grammy for? This is even better.’ That’s a good feeling, and it lets me know that the chemistry is legit. I feel like we caught it quick. Like, the first day we came through, we recorded ‘All Bad,’ and that made KD1.”
Nas discussed his creative connection with Hit-Boy, whom he likened to as Quincy Jones to his Michael Jackson, in an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden earlier this year. “He’s like my Quincy [Jones], you know what I mean?” he said. “So I feel like the next thing I do, if I was to work with Hit-Boy on the next thing I do, I think that we might do something that is going to be magical.”
