Snoop Dogg criticises LGBTQ representation in movies.
Snoop Dogg is not happy with LGBTQ content in movies, and he’s scared to watch films with his grandkids now. The rap legend recently made an appearance on It’s Giving Podcast, where he criticised the same gender relationship in the 2022 animated film Lightyear.
“Why my grandson in the middle of the movie like, ‘Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman? She a woman.’ I didn’t come here for this sh-t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie,” said Snoop.
He continued: “So it’s like, f–k me, I’m scared to go to the movies now. Like, y’all throwing me in the middle of sh-t that I don’t have an answer for.” “It threw me for a loop,” Snoop added. “We have to show that at this age? Like, they’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”
The rapper is now getting criticized on social media for his remarks about LGBTQ community. During the time of the release, film’s actor Chris Evans also hit back at the critics: “Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good. There’s always going to be people who are afraid and unaware and trying to hold on to what was before. But those people die off like dinosaurs. I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward and embrace the growth that makes us human.”
