Alexis Ohanian responds to getting called groupie by Drake.
Drake and 21 Savage dropped their new joint album “Her Loss“, and the Toronto rapper is all over social media for taking shots at so many celebrities on the project. Drizzy also name-dropped his ex-girlfriend Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, and called him a groupie.
“I swear you don’t even mean what y’all say like y’all dubbin’ a movie / Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie,” Drake raps on Middle of the Ocean. “He claim we don’t got a problem but / No, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi / We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki.”
The implied jab at Drake and Williams is intriguing considering there was a previous alleged affair between the two of them. In 2011, the OVO boss started attending her matches as a fan, which sparked discussion. “I cannot wait to put I on you and make you sweat………during our match this weekend,” he tweeted to Williams after that.
She has subsequently mentioned in his song “Nothing Was The Same,” where he rapped, “I’m with my whole set/Tennis matches at the crib/ I swear I could beat Serena when she playin’ with her left.”
After the shots from 6 God, the Reddit Co-founder listed his business expertise as a response. “The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter,” he wrote in a tweet. Serena Willians also responded the posts from her husband with heart emojis.
