Russ’ songwriting featured in new Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre song.
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre continues the roll out for their upcoming album with the release of new song “Another Part Of Me” with Sting. Rapper and singer Russ also among the songwriter of the song, and he reflect on contributing to the track.
“Uh so the most insane thing happened. My first songwriting placement ever is on a Snoop & Dre album and the part I wrote, Sting ended up singing it, insane. You can hear some of my harmonies still on there in the back. Shoutout Dre, Snoop, Sting & Larry Jackson for bringing me in that room man. So grateful. I sampled Sting on “Parkstone Drive” in 2018. Life really comes full circle,” he wrote, along with a clip of recording with Dre.

Last year, the Atlanta rapper posted pictures of studio sessions with legendary Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. “When I was 7 and writing raps in a notebook it was because of the music and artists this guy cultivated. Recording with Dr. Dre at his house and havin him coach me on the mic was insane [laughing emoji] can’t even believe it. Dream come true [Cheers emoji] shoutout to @larryjackson for making the introduction and capturing this moment,” he wrote with a clip of recording with Dre.
The new track is the latest offering from Snoop & Dre’s upcoming new highly anticipated album “Missionary” which is dropping on December 13th. The album will additionally feature appearances from BJ The Chicago Kid, Jelly Roll, Method Man, 50 Cent, Eminem and more.
