Russ reflects on not receiving a Grammy nomination for Santiago album.
The 2024 Grammy nominations are announced, and Russ is among the artists who were ignored by the Grammys. The Chomp rapper took to his social media to reflect on not receiving a nomination while sending wishes to all the nominees.
“I think the Grammys missed an opportunity to not only celebrate independence but also music about self improvement in a time that seems like majority of what we hear is what self destruction sounds like,” he wrote. “However the external recognition or lack-thereof cannot take away the internal recognition.”
“SANTIAGO is a masterpiece that I’m proud of and I appreciate all the fans who are listening and supporting. My love of the music and y’all’s love is enough. congrats to all the nominees.”
