Lebron James supports Russ’ new album with an IG caption.
Last month, Russ dropped his brand new star-studded album “Chomp 2“, with features from Jadakiss, Snoop Dogg, Big KRIT, Papoose, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and more. Russ has been continuously giving us new material and making his mark in the industry as an independent artist.
Recently, the legendary Jay-Z also praised the Atlanta rapper for his independence. “I see guys like Russ on here,” said Hov. “I feel like I didn’t create the independent manual but I definitely added some major chapters. So to see people going about their business, the way they’re now and being aware about their business of music, it makes me super happy.”

Now Russ also gets co-sign from the NBA champion LeBron James. LeBron shared some pre-game pictures from the tunnel of Crypto Arena, where he used Russ’ “Sheep” lyrics on the caption. “I’m from the generation where it isn’t cool to be haters / You see, social media made everyone think they’re celebrities / But what have y’all done that’s worth celebratin’? / And everybody got the same personality and identities / The sheep just multiply, this sh*t is devastatin’ / And embarrassin’, hahaha- Russ,” the quote reads.

Russ shares the post on his social media, and shouted out Jay-Z and LeBron for supporting his independence movement, which will inspire him to make more new music. “hov and lebron f**kin with the movement..time to go even harder,” he wrote.
The Los Angeles Lakers, led by LeBron James, have won four games in a row after a slow start to the season. Hopefully, they are able to maintain their momentum. Many people anticipated the Lakers to be a title contender this season, but they haven’t shown it yet. Perhaps they will continue to improve, and their talent level on the roster will make them a dangerous team in the playoffs.
According to multiple polls, the Lakers are one of the most despised teams in the NBA this season. Their shaky start to the campaign has also gotten them a lot of flak. So it’s unclear if LeBron James was mocking the team’s detractors or praising Russ’ songwriting.
