Rapper Offset Shot and Hospitalized in Florida — What We Know So Far

Offset hospitalised after being shot in Florida.

Rapper Offset has reportedly been hospitalised after a shooting incident outside a casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The incident took place on Monday evening (April 6th) in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. According to local police, the former Migos rapper sustained injuries that are not life-threatening and he is currently in stable condition while receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.

In an official statement released by the rapper’s team on the situation, it is revealed that he is being closely monitored and is expected to recover. “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” the statement reads. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”

Authorities have already detained two individuals in connection with the shooting, although their identities have not yet been released. The investigation is still ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge in the coming days.

Shortly after the news broke, Quavo, Offset’s former groupmate from Migos, appeared to show support by posting a praying hands emoji on Instagram.

At the same time, rumors quickly started spreading online suggesting that Lil Tjay might have been involved due to past tensions between the two artists. However, those claims were firmly denied, as his lawyer released a statement calling the allegations completely false, clarifying that he has no connection to the incident and has not been charged. “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false,” he said.

This situation has once again highlighted concerns around safety and violence surrounding high-profile hip-hop artists, especially in public settings. Fans across social media have been sending prayers and support, hoping for Offset’s full recovery.

More updates will follow as the investigation develops.

Takeoff’s death in 2022.

This recent incident has also brought back memories of a much deeper tragedy within the Migos circle, the death of Takeoff.

Back in November 2022, Takeoff, Offset’s close friend and fellow Migos member, was fatally shot in Houston during a late-night gathering. Reports stated he was an innocent bystander caught in the gunfire following an argument. The rapper passed away at the age of 28.
