GRIP announces new Shady Records Debut album “IDFT?”, reveals release date.
Last month, Eminem and Shady Records signed a new artist to their label, Grip from East Atlanta. They shared the news through a picture of him sitting with the label boss Marshall in the studio. Along with the announcement, Grip also dropped the song called “Gutter” and teased his upcoming album. Now, Grip has officially announced his Shady Records Debut Album “IDFT?” which means “I Died For This?”.
Grip and Shady Records has also shared the album Cover Art and revealed that it will release on 27th August. We might get an Eminem appearance on the album as Grip teased the feature last month. “I used to dream ’bout this” Mark your calendars Calendar – @Grip_SS’s Shady debut album is droppin 8/27,” wrote Shady Records.
Label head Eminem has unquestionably learned from the mistakes made by his second generation of musicians by sticking to the same approaches in his own songs. With 2019’s Snubnose, Atlanta artist Grip delivered one of the most underappreciated hip hop albums in recent years, he caught Paul Rosenberg’s ears, and then, inevitably, Mr. Mathers’.
