Rap Veteran Chino XL Reportedly Passed Away At 50; Hip-Hop Fraternity Reacts

Chino XL passed away at the age of 50.

Chino XL, the rap veteran from The Bronx reportedly passed away at the age of 50. The cause of death has not been announced yet from family and team.

“Damn… RIP to the legend Chino XL,” wrote Joe Budden. “We spoke on the phone the other day and laughed. Our careers have been tied together since the Wake Up Show freestyles decades ago. I’m f–ked up. Rest in Peace my brother Chino XL,” wrote KXNG Crooked.

“This ones a tough one. I admired Dj Polo as a @hiphopgods PEer. @CHINOXL was my brother in rhyme & Art. He encouraged my graphics forward. We exchanged art books. He looked out to protect my lyric books better. He supported my events. We supported his music,” wrote Public Enemy’s Chuck D. “RIP Chino XL. It truly breaks my heart that one of my biggest influences and supporters passed away today. May we forever honor @CHINOXL, one of the greatest lyricists that ever lived! Just last week, Chino contributed to Rakim’s first album in 15 years “G.O.D’s Network (REB7RTH)” on the song titled “Pendulum Swing”. “Blessed to be a part of this @thegodrakim project!!” Chino wrote on Instagram. “It’s an honor of high merit!! … Got a call from @official_kurupt, top 7 Mc for me easily!! who is on the first single.
