Pusha T also said Drake and Kanye Don’t Make Good Music Together
Pusha-T said on the newest edition of the Drink Champs podcast that he has been barred from entering Canada following a scuffle at a 2018 Toronto performance during his feud with Drake.
Following his No. 1 album It’s Almost Dry, the “Diet Coke” rapper stopped by REVOLT’s “Drink Champs,” where he rekindled his notorious battle with the Toronto rapper.
Pusha shut him down after N.O.R.E. indicated he went too far with his “Story of Adidon” diss, in which he revealed Drake as a father. “I don’t mind. That is why you avoid playing with me. “There is no such thing as too far,” he remarked. “I never spoke to anyone who ever informed me that I went too far.”
“I don’t want it,” Pusha said. “I’m cool without it.” When asked if they were at peace, Push added, “I’m at peace. … I want nothing.” Asked why he’s not willing to specifically patch up things with Drake, rather than his current attitude of staying out of it, he said, “Because things that I don’t speak on, and things I won’t speak on have happened since. … For me, it ain’t even about, you know. If it was just a rap thing and what is what it was, y’know, that was cool.”

Then he explained why he won’t be playing any shows in Canada, Drake’s home country, anytime soon. “I’m banned from Canada,” he said, to which N.O.R.E. suggested that he “went too far” on his diss record. “I don’t care. There is no too far! I don’t play like that, that’s why you don’t play with me… Leave me alone! Leave me be! Because there is no too far.” He said that he’s since stopped talking to anybody who told him he “went too far” over the situation.
Several individuals attempted to rush the stage and hurl alcohol at Pusha during the event at Danforth Music Hall, resulting in an all-out riot.
“I went to my show, it was rowdy people at the show,” said Push.
When asked if he performed his Drake diss at the show, he said, “I didn’t even get to. It got rowdy and I got on my way.”
N.O.R.E. also inquired about his thoughts on Kanye West and Drake reconciling and rejoining on stage at the Larry Hoover charity event in December. Pusha stated he didn’t mind since he knew how to “compartmentalise” things.
“I felt like it was good for them,” he said. “They play an industry game. I feel like that’s gon’ work for them and what they do.”
He does not, however, feel the two would make excellent colleagues. “I don’t think they even produce decent music together.” That’s the wildest part. There ain’t even a hot record. Name it,” he told N.O.R.E., who suggested “Glow” off 2017’s More Life, to which Pusha responded, “What?”
As for Pusha, he’s happy where he is. “I know exactly what my lane is. I know exactly what I’m doing, I know exactly who I want to be with, who I want to make records with,” he said. “There’s absolutely no value in that for me.”
