Pusha T praised Kendrick Lamar for keeping lyricism alive in hip-hop.
Pusha T recently sat down with the panel at REVOLT WORLD in Atlanta this past weekend, where during the conversation, the rapper show love for Kendrick Lamar for staying true to lyrics-drive hip-hop.
“I’m sure people have said and have told him his whole career, ‘You rap good. You’re great, but you rap too much. You need to make a song like this. You need to do that.’ It’s amazing to watch him be exactly who he is, be the lyric king,” he said.
He continued, “People who never even listen to lyrics are reciting his freestyles, his battles, his songs. It’s great to watch. And it’s great for what it is we do in lyric-driven Hip Hop.”

Following his victory in battle with Drake a few months back, K. Dot was named as the sole headliner for next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show 2025 in New Orleans. During the promo trailer, Kendrick again fired shots at Drizzy with “You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship; no round twos.”
Pusha T, who also tasted victory in battle against Drake back in 2018, reposted Kendrick Lamar’s promo post with the caption: “This is true… [shrug emoji].”
