Rod Wave is expected to debut at top of Billboard Charts next week.
This week, multiple albums were released and the projected first week numbers for Rod Wave and Megan Thee Stallion are here. Rod Wave finally released his fourth studio album “Beautiful Mind”, a follow-up to his last year’s “SoulFly”.
Just like his previous project, the St. Petersburg, Florida native is projected to earn another number 1 on US Billboard charts. The album is expected to move around 120-140k equivalent units in the first week, which will get him an easy top spot on Billboard 200.
Nevertheless, Beautiful Minds debuted with a total of 115,000 equivalent album units, consisting of 2,000 album sales, a small number of track equivalent album units, and 113,000 stream equal album units (157.73 million on-demand streaming of the 24 compositions).
Last year, “SoulFly“ topped the US Billboard 200 with 130,000 album-equivalent units. While 2019’s Ghetto Gospel and 2020’s Pray 4 Love racked up 27,000 and 72,000 first-week units, respectively. Beautiful Mind spanned 24 tracks with guest appearances by Jack Harlow and December Joy.

“It’s just a rollercoaster,” he said about Beautiful Mind. “One minute you up, then you’re down, then you’re shooting back up. It just goes up and down, up and down. I was kinda thinking, should I have did it like that, because I ain’t want nobody to be emotionally drained listening to it. But that’s what they’re asking for, so I’ma give it to them.”
