Rod Wave expected to earn Billboard top spot with “Nostalgia” first week sales.
Rod Wave was among the new album releases this week, and the projected first-week sales for “Nostalgia” is here. According to HitsDailyDouble, Wave’s fifth studio album is expected to move 130-140k equivalent units in the first week, which will earn him the top spot on the US Billboard 200.
The expected sales will be the biggest of Rod Wave’s career, and third third-biggest hip-hop sales week of 2023. This is Wave’s third consecutive #1 debut album on the US Billboard chart.
“I feel like on this album, I was able to spread my emotions around,” Wave said in an interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe. “I have more time just to touch bases on different kind of points of views, on different subjects.” “I turn into a butterfly. I’m full grown on this one.”
