Lil Baby’s “It’s Only Me” is expected to debut at No. 1 on the charts in the first week.
It looks like Lil Baby will have another No. 1 album. According to Hits Daily Double, the Atlantan rapper’s It’s Only Me is anticipated to top the Billboard 200. The project, which debuted on Friday, is anticipated to sell 185,000 to 210,000 units in its first week, resulting in the seventh or eighth-largest debut of 2022 thus far.
His last two number-one albums, My Turn in 2020 and The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk in 2021—the former of which moved 185,000 album-equivalent units in its first week and the latter of which sold 197,000—will be followed by It’s Only Me. Harder Than Ever, his newest album from 2018, opened at No. 3 with 71,000 sales, for comparison.

There were 23 songs total on It’s Only Me, including the singles “Heyy” and “In a Minute.” Young Thug (“Never Hating”), Future (“From Now On”), Pooh Shiesty (“Sheist Talk”), and others had cameo performances on the song, which was produced by Murda Beatz, Wheezy, and Tay Keith. Lil Baby discussed the record with the Associated Press and explained why he chose to present a project with roughly two dozen cutbacks rather than releasing the songs separately.
“I could’ve put 15 songs out and just added seven more songs then put out another album,” he acknowledged. “I could put out two albums in no time. But I haven’t put nothing out in two years. It’s almost really going on three (years). … I’m not going to drop a deluxe.”
Popular songs include “Stand On It” and “Not Finished,” which have a louder volume as Lil Baby seems to be trying to address the rumored beef between him and labelmate Quavo following reports that the latter was seen going to hang out with Saweetie, his ex-girlfriend from rapper Migos after the two had broken up.
