Kendrick Lamar’s first reaction to “Family Matters” revealed.
Apart from the diss tracks towards Drake, Kendrick Lamar hasn’t said anything about the beef publicly or on social media, but his reaction to “Family Matters” is revealed by rapper Problem. During an interview with Bootleg Kev, Compton rapper Problem reveals text conversation with K. Dot during the day “Family Matters” dropped.
“I’ma give you some real insight. You hearing this first,” reveals Problem. “[Drake] dropped ‘Family Matters’ and I text [Kendrick Lamar] like, ‘This ain’t it. Man, it’s time to step on his head.’ He was like, ‘Say less.’”
He continued, “I’m thinking it ain’t nothing deep like that. I go to the bathroom. I come back. The muthaf–king song [Meet the Grahams] is uploaded! I said ‘Wait, wait, wait.’”
“I text him like, ‘Ni–a, you already [dropped the song?].’ He’s like, ‘I’ve been waiting for this ni–a to drop something,’” he added. “[Drake] didn’t even know what he was going to get. Man, Drake shot a video and all this shit. Sometimes you just gotta know what to do and what not to do.”
Drake Seemingly Dubs Kendrick Lamar As “One Trick Pony” While Calling Himself “GOAT”
Kendrick Lamar and Drake both went toe to toe as the two fired shots at each other in multiple diss tracks. The feud battle ended after several tracks, and the Compton emcee was crowned as the winner by the hip-hop fraternity and the fans. K. Dot’s last diss “Not Like Us” debuted at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and is currently breaking several records on streaming platforms.
