Polo G fires bars in LA Leakers freestyle.
Polo G makes his return to Power 106 for another new freestyle for Justin Credible’s LA Leakers segment. This is the Chicago rapper’s third freestyle on the show, where he spits fire over Ja Rule’s classic “New York” beat, which originally featured Fat Joe and Jadakiss. “La Leakers Round 3. & Yk ion just Drop Freestyles unless A album comin Behind it,” he wrote.

In his freestyle, Polo G also pokes fun at NBA star Dillon Brooks. “All I hang with is crooks, and they play with the choppers/If he a lame like Dillon Brooks, I’ll take him straight off the roster,” he rapped as Justin Credible laughed.
With the freestyle, Polo G also kicked off the promo run for his next studio album, which is reportedly dropping this Summer.
The rapper last dropped an album “Hall of Fame 2.0” in 2021, as the deluxe edition and sequel to the third studio album. Polo G’s Hall of Fame album debuted atop of Billboard 200, earning 143,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, becoming the rapper’s first number-one album of his career. The album featured Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Rod Wave, Young Thug, DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, Nicki Minaj, Pop Smoke and Fivio Foreign. The deluxe version additionally featured Lil Baby, NLE Choppa, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Tjay and more.
In August 2023, Polo G was arrested at his LA residence after it was raided by law enforcement. “We are hopeful the LAPD will handle this matter with tact and transparency.” a rep told TMZ.
“Polo is being held under the guise that the police department needs to double check that he is not a convicted felon as there was a purported firearm found in the home. He is not and never was a convicted felon. Any previous charges he had I got dismissed and it’s all public record. They are also denying myself and my California law partner Zoe Aron access to him while he is being illegally detained,” the rapper attorney Bradford Cohen said.
