Paul Rosenberg says Eminem wasn’t dissing Drake on ‘Kamikaze’.
Eminem is back with his brand new surprise album ‘Kamikaze‘ a couple of days ago where he takes aim at a lot of rappers like MGK, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump, Joe Budden, Tyler, The Creator, and more. But according to fans and media outlets, Eminem also dissed Drake on the title track of the album, where he takes aim at the Toronto rapper referencing Drake’s 2016 album Views and rumored ghostwriting on the following lyrics:
“You got some views, but you’re still below me
Mine are higher, so when you compare our views, you get overlooked
And I don’t say the hook unless I wrote the hook”
Em seems to link to Drake’s impressive (but not Shady-like) sales numbers, his album Views, his accusations of ghostwriters, and his history of staring at his phone during freestyles in these subliminal lines.
On the contrary, there were a few instances of genuine hatred on the album, all of which have real-world consequences: MGK tweeting at his underage daughter, Joe Budden slamming his album, Charlamagne baiting him with race, and Lord Jamar doing the same (race card). Eminem’s longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, does not believe Eminem was referring to Drake specifically in his “Kamikaze.”
Now Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg took to Twitter to clarify that Shady wasn’t dissing Drake on the song ‘Kamikaze‘.
This is also realistic because Em is essentially naming everyone he’s throwing under the bus, so if he was dissing Drake, he would have called him without hesitation.
Check it out below.
He isn’t dissing Drake. Dead that.
