Young Zee Disses Eminem in his song “Dear Shady.”
On the latest album Shady XV, Eminem gives a shout-out to his old friend Young Zee and the Group Outsidaz in which Detroit Rapper has worked before. In the track Fine Line, Marshall mentions Young Zee and Outsidaz, “Zee, you always supported me/You Vouched, I will never forget that and How You Guyz accepted me for me and pace
I love you too, you slept on my couch and i been thinkin’ ’bout the time
when i slept on the floow at the outhouse, Rhyming’s all we ever wanted to do
and Regardless how life has turned out, Inside i’m, i will always be an outsider”
Following the Shout out by Eminem, Outsidaz’s Young Zee Released a new track called “Dear Shady” in which he calls out Eminem, and in the video of it shows Eminem’s old days with the Group Outsidaz.
Young Zee answered with a song of his own, but instead of expressing thanks, the New Jersey rep chastised his friend on “Dear Shady,” a song about how he wasn’t added to Slaughterhouse and wasn’t there when he needed him the most.
Despite a disclaimer at the beginning of the video claiming Eminem and Zee are “two buddies,” the Newark, New Jersey rapper reveals his dissatisfaction with the rapper on the song, rapping about being left out of Slaughterhouse and Em not being there when his house burned down or when he got arrested.
The video starts off with an old Eminem Interview. In “Dear Shady”, Young Zee Raps,
“I got locked up for selling quarter pounds downtown, You (Eminem) could’ve looked out
You could’ve came and bailed me out, Like Dre and Tupac, my record would be selling now,
But anyhow, we both put out lighters for the Outsidaz, You’re now diamond, I’m still out trying,
And since you laid on my floor like you said before, You’re welcome to come still knock my door.”
