Offset opens up about the death of Takeoff.
Offset continues to mourn the loss of Migos rapper Takeoff as he opens up during his interview on Way Up With Angels Yee. The rapper is currently on the promo run for his next project, and he just linked up with his wife Cardi B for the song called “Jealousy.”
“I’m unhealed. I’m being honest, I lost my brother. I’m not healed — I’m not good,” he said. “And this sh-t don’t help nothing. We stars so people be thinking it’s just cool but I’m a real grown man. I cry every day about this sh-t. At some point, it f–ks me up every day.
He continued, “And then it be this type of bullsh-t on top of sh-t that be too much for me. I’m still a human being. I’m dealing through sh-t personally and people’s opinions matter nowadays.

“What’s on Twitter matters what’s being said. I play cool, I smile for the cameras, I do fashion week, and all this sh-t but behind the scenes I need my woman to be there for me for what I’m going through.”
Just recently, Quavo and Offset reunited for Takeoff tribute performance at the BET Awards 2023. “The BET performance was iconic man,” said Offset about the reunion. “It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Qua, we put that together within 16 hours. Like 15 hours. We land from Paris like at 9pm and go straight to work to figure out how we gon’ put the show together man. We do that because we some real stars. We do that. We do this music. We the greatest group to ever touch the mic. RIP my brother Take. We did it for my brother Take.”
He continued: “Me and Qua stood tall, brother to brother. You dig what I’m saying? And I appreciate everybody for supporting, man. It was a movie, it was a vibe. We needed that for the culture. And yeah, that’s how we coming! We did that in 16 hours though! Like real professionals. Real professionals. Went out there, 16 hours, didn’t sleep, locked in on the visual. Me and Qua sat down, locked in on the visuals, locked in on the position of the stage, the lighting, everything as a unit.”
“And you know, when you put the three heads together, it’s always gon’ be cinematic. It’s always gon’ be the truth. It’s always gon’ be Godly. Thank God for that moment. And like I said, RIP to Take.
