MTV EMA 2022 winners announced, Taylor Swift Dominates.
The 2022 MTV EMAs took place last night at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany co-hosted by Rita Ora and Taika Waititi. The event was broadcasted live in more than 170 countries.
This year, Harry Styles leads the list with the most, seven nominations, including Best Artist, Best Song and Best Video. He was followed by Taylor Swift with nominations in six categories. Nicki Minaj was the most nominated rap artist with five nominations.
Taylor Swift who recently released her new album “Midnights”, was the most-awarded artist this year with 4 Wins, including the best artist and best video. Harry Styles won just one award at the event for Best Live.
Swift expressed her excitement to see her German fans on her next tour, which has only revealed dates in the U.S., during her victory speech for best video. “Sometimes I think about all the way in which this short film and this moment almost never happened,” she said. “The fans willed this to happen.”
Nicki Minaj was honoured with two awards at the ceremony, for Best Hip-Hop and Best Song categories with her latest #1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Super Freaky Girl“.
