“Don’t nobody wanna hear that weak sh-t h- / In the game, fifteen, ain’t peak yet h- / Tell that goofy get a chair, she was c–ky, I could swear / ‘Til my old tape sold more than your album, drop a tear,” she raps on the new verse.
Nicki later thanked fans for helping the project achieve history as the re-release peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. As Minaj described in an IG post at the time, what made this success “mean more” for her was that it happened without the traditional distribution anticipated of contemporary songs, such as TikTok techniques and video pushes, and so on.
Nicki Minaj will get the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month for breaking “barriers for women in hip-hop with her variety and unique ability.”
