Metro Boomin hits back at Drake with a subliminal tweet.
Drake and Metro Boomin continue their beef as the two again throw subliminal shots at each other. The Toronto rap star concludes his 2023 with a live stream session on Kick, where he took shots at his haters, including subliminal shots at Metro.
“To the rest of you… the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet and deleters… you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam,” he said. “Look at my eyes… you guys wanna do something? That’s what I thought.”

Following the stream, Boomin responds with the viral “Whoa Calm Down Jamal, Don’t Pull Out the 9” skit clip.

The “tweet and deleters” by Drake was a reference to Boomin’s tweet about ‘Heroes & Villains’ and ‘Her Loss.’ A rap blog on Twitter recently posted a report that Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains” album was streamed 3.7 billion times in a year, which is more than any hip-hop album since 2018, and also generating way more than daily streams of Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss.
Boomin responded with a shade at Drake. “Yet Her Loss keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V,” he wrote. “Proof that award shows are just politics and not for me. Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives.”
At the time, Drake responded by quoting JAY-Z’s “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love)” song. “Damn. little mans, I’m just tryin’ to do me / If the record’s two mil, I’m just tryin’ to move three.”
