Rapper Big Scarr is dead at 22.
After news surrounding the internet, it has been confirmed that Memphis rapper Big Scarr passed away at 22. The young rapper was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label, who confirmed the passing of the 2022 XXL Freshman.
“This hurt [Sad emoji] I’m a miss you @bigscarr [Broken heart emoji],” wrote mane. “Ion wanna talk. Sorry if I don’t answer. I just can’t,” wrote Scarr’s label mate Enchanting.

The reason for rapper’s death has not been revealed by the label, family or any major news outlet.
Big Scarr, real name Alexander Woods signed to Gucci Mane’s label in 2020 and released his debut and only project “Big Grim Reaper” in 2021. The mixtape featured Pooh Shiesty, Tay Keith, Gucci Mane and more, and it peaked at #25 on Billboard 200.

Big Scarr finally took rap actively in 2019 after his friend and rapper Baby K persuaded him to give it a shot. Scarr released “Make a Play” that year, and it earned over 50,000 views on YouTube in one week. By 2020, he had gained traction and had signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label.
In 2021, the Memphis rapper released one official effort, a mixtape called Big Grim Reaper. The album included significant singles such as “SolcyBoyz 2” and “Poppin.” In 2022, a deluxe edition of the film was released. He was getting ready to go on tour with Key Glock in the spring.
