Meek Mill helps 20 Philly women in jail to get out for the holidays.
It’s the holiday season, and Meek Mill decided to celebrate it with some help for Women of Philadelphia. According to reports, the co-founder of the social justice organization REFORM alliance, paid the bail of 20 women in jail so they could be home with their families for holidays.
“It was devastating for me to be away from my son during the holidays when I was incarcerated,” Mill said in a press release. “So I understand what these women and their families are going through. No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”
As per reports, five of those women released by Christmas Eve, and the other 15 will be out of prison over the next week. All the women also received gift cards to buy groceries and gifts.

Mill co-founded REFORM Alliance with Michael Rubin, “JAY-Z” , Robert Kraft, and others in 2018. He has subsequently helped to pass 16 measures in 10 states, aiming for “better neighborhoods, better family, and enhanced public health and safety for all,” according to a press statement.
Last year, the Philadelphia rapper gave $500,000 in Christmas gifts to deserving families. Meek worked Michael Rubin, Robert Kraft, and Roc Nation to plan the fundraiser, which also included MacBook Air computers, Amazon Fire HD tablets, bikes and helmets, computer game gift vouchers, board games, winter jackets, dolls, play sets, playing cards, and gift cards, among many other things.
