MC Serch acknowledges Eminem for praising him.
Last night, Eminem made a rare interview appearance as he sat down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. On the show, Eminem shows off his cassette collection, which had the “The Cactus” album from the 3rd Bass, the 90s Hip-Hop group of MC Serch, Pete Nice, and DJ Richie Rich.
“This is one the classic albums in the history of Hip-Hop,” says Eminem while showing the 3rd Bass Cassette. “I saw an interview with MC Serch recently, somebody asked him if he thinks if he influences me and he said Nah. And that is bullsh*t because he did influence me, very heavy. I saw the interview and I was like oh come on Serch, you gotta know you inspired him.”

Now MC Serch responds to Eminem saying he inspired him. “@Eminem thank you. Know that I love you brother. You giving me a home in Detroit when I was at WJLB, and that you and Proof were so supportive. Know that the interview was not about just me. I was not the sole reason there was a you. @bigdaddykane the Grammy speech!! Not just I” wrote MC Serch in his tweet.
Michael MC Serch Berrin of 3rd Bass, the first critically acclaimed white hip hop group since the Beastie Boys, had not been given accurate information regarding their relationship, according to Eminem. Marshall claimed that this pair significantly impacted him during his interview with Zane Lowe on December 30, 2020, when he pulled a 3rd Bass tape from his collection. And it wasn’t because they were white; it was because of their work as rappers.
