Machine Gun Kelly Pelted with Bottles, Tree Branches at Aftershock Concert

Machine Gun Kelly again faces the heat of Slipknot fans at his Concert.

Machine Gun Kelly continues to get into a scuffle with the audience in his live shows. Ever since he took shots at the legendary band Slipknot, he is facing the wrath of rock fans in his recent Festival performances. This past weekend (Oct. 9th), the Cleveland artist was performing at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California, where he got mixed reactions from the crowd. While the front-row audience showed appreciation for MGK, the crowd at the back booed the rapper turned pop-funk star.

The clip of the concert shows that the “Tickets to My Downfall” artist was climbing a tent in the middle of the crowd when he was bombarded with bottles, tree branches, and various other things.

How the f**k you feelin’ Aftershock?” Kelly said at the start of his show. “Mixed opinions. I love you so much. This morning I was like, ‘Do we get on the plane and go to this?’ I was sitting there thinking about the last festival we did where this 10-year-old got her poster ripped up just for liking me. I’m doing this show for her and everyone who came to see us.

Machine Gun Kelly’s animosity for Slipknot might be linked to a recent interview with the band’s vocalist, Corey Taylor, in which he appears to have taken aim at MGK without mentioning his name. “The [young artists] that really frustrate me are the ones that they take something that’s been around forever and then just basically rework it and call it new—even though it’s completely derivative,” Taylor told Loudwire’s Cutter’s Rockcast back in February. “You know the band they’re ripping off—they’re not even trying to rip off a bunch of bands; they’re ripping off one band. But the younger generation picks them up and says, ‘This is our blah, blah, blah,’ because they’re tired of old people telling them that the music that came before them was better. And I don’t know who’s right, but I know both are wrong, because we should be encouraging everything.

Previously, the controversial artist was flipped off & booed at Louder Than Life Rock Festival, for disrespecting and taking shots at Slipknot and its frontman Corey Taylor. “Hey, you all know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50-years-old, wearing a f***in weird mask on a fu**in stage,” he said.
