Lupe Fiasco is making a 10 song album in 24 hours.
Ever since his recent feud with Royce Da 5’9″ when the two exchanged shots in two diss tracks, Lupe Fiasco has been continuously dropping new freebies and is active than ever. Follow a few freestyles over some classic instrumentals, Lupe Fiasco shared a surprise announcement that he is making a new album in just 24 hours.
Taking to his Twitter, the Chicago Illinois rapper wrote that, “Finna do an album from scratch in 24 hours… 1 song in… 9 to go… Last time I did this Stack was alive…” After a couple of hours, he shared an update and said that 8 tracks to go now, then 7 two hours later.
It would be interesting to see if Lupe is doing this for self-validation or he will also share the project on the streaming platforms for the fans.
Lupe has rewarded fans with many freestyles in the last few weeks, so the announcement comes as no surprise. He’s released original freestyles “Repo Pe” and “SBA Lu,” as well as freestyles over legendary tracks like Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit C,” Dipset’s “I Really Mean It,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Sing About Me” after rapping over Jadakiss and Styles P’s “We Gonna Make It” late last month.
